3. PRODUCTS
Chox Firelighters manufactures and supplies eco-friendly firelighters for domestic and commercial use.
Our firelighters are intended solely for the safe ignition of wood, charcoal and similar solid fuels in braais, fireplaces, wood-burning stoves and outdoor fires.
All products sold by Chox Firelighters are intended exclusively for lawful fire-starting purposes.
Product descriptions, photographs, packaging images and specifications displayed on this website are provided for general information purposes only. While every effort is made to ensure accuracy, actual products, packaging and labelling may vary slightly from those shown on the website.
We reserve the right to modify product specifications, packaging and product availability without prior notice.
4. PRODUCT SAFETY
Firelighters are combustible products and must be handled responsibly.
By purchasing our products, customers acknowledge and agree that:
- Firelighters must be stored in a cool, dry place.
- Products must be kept away from children and pets.
- Products must never be ingested.
- Products must not be stored near open flames, sparks or other ignition sources.
- Products must only be used in well-ventilated areas.
- Firelighters must only be used in accordance with the instructions printed on the packaging.
- Customers must never add additional flammable liquids (including petrol, paraffin, methylated spirits or diesel) to an already burning fire.
Chox Firelighters accepts no responsibility for damage, injury or loss resulting from misuse, abuse, negligence, improper storage or use contrary to the supplied instructions.
5. AGE RESTRICTION
Products may only be purchased by persons aged 18 years or older.
By placing an order on this website, the customer confirms that they are at least 18 years of age.
6. PRICING
All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR).
Prices include VAT where applicable.
Prices are subject to change without notice.
Errors and omissions excepted (E&OE).
Should a pricing error occur, Chox Firelighters reserves the right to cancel the order and refund any payment received in full.
7. ORDERS
All orders are subject to acceptance and stock availability.
Receipt of an order confirmation email does not constitute acceptance of the order.
Chox Firelighters reserves the right to:
- refuse any order;
- limit quantities purchased;
- cancel orders where fraud is suspected;
- cancel orders due to stock shortages;
- cancel orders due to pricing or technical errors.
Customers will be notified should an order be cancelled.
8. PAYMENT
Payments are processed securely through PayFast and other approved payment providers.
No banking or credit card details are stored by Chox Firelighters.
Full payment must be received before goods are dispatched.
9. SHIPPING AND DELIVERY
We currently deliver within the Republic of South Africa only.
Estimated delivery times are:
- Major metropolitan areas: 2–5 business days
- Regional areas: 3–7 business days
- Remote areas: 5–10 business days
Delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
Chox Firelighters shall not be liable for delays caused by:
- courier companies;
- adverse weather conditions;
- public holidays;
- strikes;
- civil unrest;
- events beyond our reasonable control.
Risk in the products passes to the customer upon delivery.
10. INSPECTION OF GOODS
Customers are encouraged to inspect products upon delivery.
Any damaged, missing or incorrect items should be reported to us within 48 hours of delivery by emailing:

11. RETURNS AND REFUNDS
Returns and refunds are governed by our Refund & Returns Policy.
Nothing contained in these Terms limits any rights afforded to consumers under the South African Consumer Protection Act. Consumers are entitled to statutory protections regarding defective or unsafe goods.
12. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All trademarks, logos, product names, photographs, text, graphics and other website content remain the exclusive property of Chox Eco Products (Pty) Ltd.
No content may be copied, reproduced or distributed without prior written consent.
13. WEBSITE USE
Users agree not to:
- use the website for unlawful purposes;
- interfere with website security;
- transmit malicious software;
- attempt unauthorised access to website systems.
14. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, Chox Eco Products (Pty) Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our products or website.
Our maximum liability shall be limited to the purchase price paid for the affected product.
